Sabrina Jagot

Postdoctoral researcher

After my master degree in biotechnology and therapeutic research, I joined the Laboratory of Physiology and Genomic of Fishes (LPGP) to prepare my Ph.D in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology.

During my Ph.D (from 2015 to 2018), I worked on trout muscle stem cells in hyperplasic growth. My project consisted in characterizing trout muscle stem cells in different states of growth using transcriptomic (mRNA and miRNA), cellular (proliferation and differentiation studies) and histological approaches.

I joined the PAnTher Laboratory from February 2019 to March 2021 as a postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics and integrative biology. I designed and conducted research projects using transcriptomic technologies such as microarrays, bulk and single cell RNA sequencing. Notably, my work focused in particular on identifying and understanding the specific transcriptomic signatures of muscle in Pompe disease, and, of a candidate for cell therapies: human MuStem cells.

Since March 2021, I joined the LPGP and I am working in a collaborative program with the PAnTher lab on an ANR project. Using Single Cell RNA seq, in situ hybridization and 3D imaging, the goal of my research is to gain insight into the heterogeneity of trout muscle stem cells and their involvement during hyperplastic growth.
